RIP: The Ghost of a Thousand

Brighton, the home town for the majority of the Fragment team who over the years have been lucky enough to witness the rise of many great local bands. Unfortunately with the rise, brings the more than occasional falls and it is with great sadness that one of my personal favourites from the last few years, The Ghost of a Thousand have decided to call it a day.

Instead of delving into why for ourselves, hear’s what the guys put up a couple of weeks back over on their Tumblr.

“After nearly 7 years of being a band we have decided to call it a day. It’s been increasingly difficult to commit ourselves to a touring band and unfortunately ‘real life’ has finally gotten the better of us. We know there’s been rumours for a while and we’re sorry that we haven’t commented sooner but to be honest, we were hoping that things would work themselves out. But our situation hasn’t changed and we are extremely devastated to finally end it.

We’ve had an amazing ride and made dreams come true, so we would like to thank everybody who’s helped us along the way, whether you’ve booked us for shows, giving us a floor to sleep on, fed us, toured with us or done anything to keep the band on the road, we’re grateful to the lot of you and hope to see you soon.

Most importantly we would like to thank all our Fans, Friends and Family who supported us over the years. We really couldn’t have done it without you guys so, from the bottom of our breaking hearts – thank you!

Much Love
The Ghost Of A Thousand”
