Returning to The Socials dance-filthy basement this Friday is a new Fragment favourite, Good Block. Including a fine host of turntable matadors, enough whisky to fill a paddling pool and tunes from out-of-this-hemisphere – it’s ‘fucking’ un-missable. The promo says, “Expect 70′s/80′s/90′s: Disco, Boogie, House, Hip Hop, Electro, Lazer Funk, Afrobeat” so basically the whole of your local HMV, in your eardrums, in one evening.
They’ve even got the Gigolo Medina down who did a beauty of a mix for us a few months back – listen to that above yeah.
Charles Drakeford (NTS Radio / Wholemeal)
Bradley Zero (Rhythm Section / Boiler Room)

This Friday signals 10 years of the brilliance that is Futureboogie. Formed in Bristol back in 2001 the clubbing factory now churns out radio shows, management, A-class parties and a ton of other extremely exciting things for your ear joy. Friday’s sold out secret party will feature Fragment favourites, Julio Bashmore, Waifs and Strays, Christophe and Lukas and new party fighters Behling and Simpson.
Team Fragment will be down on the night, snapping and reviewing our hearts out – preparing for the hangover might not be so easy.
To get you in the mood early, here’s something nicely remixed from headliner Bashmore.

For those of you who didn’t make the epic Numbers party back in December, here’s the fantastic live set from Mr. Party Jackmaster.
“Here’s the long promised recording of my set from the Numbers LDN warehouse party back in December of last year.
There were a few Serato technicals to start with, hence the reason for the first few tracks being played without any attempt to blend them, and because it was December, I played some of biggest tunes of the year as a kind of retrospective of one of the best years of UK music in history (IMO). I also put a few of the tracks that I rinsed heavily in my sets throughout 2011, plus the usual selection of surprises. For the same reason, there’s also a few blends from my Fabric CD and the RA mix.
We need to say a really big thanks to Black Atlantic and Red Bull, but most of all the troops who stayed till half past 6 in the morning singing along to all the tracks and dancing on top of their mates shoulders. You guys made one of the best parties we’ve ever been involved in so thanks very much.”
